I love these wood structures created by artist Patrick Dougherty. Each structure is site specific. I was really excited to learn that this September he will be working on a structure in a very dear to me park, Dumbarton Oaks in Georgetown, D.C. I cannot wait to check it out next time I am there! I promise to post pictures whenever that might be! Here are a few of my favorite ones:

I love these beautiful photos from Toast's Early Autumn catalogue, all shot on location in various parts of Italy. Can I live here one day please? There are so many more inspiring images to be found on their site. I love the red and white striped wall photo, but the last one with the chandeliers might be my favorite! I wish I knew who's talent was behind the photos!
I was very lucky to have a few hours on my mini break to slip away to the National Gallery. In the midst of a heatwave and prime tourist time I was able to steal some quiet moments in one of my favorite places in the world:
I know it's been a pretty long stretch from my last post but I have been on a mini break. I was thinking I would have lots of time to post but that has not been the case. I am definitely not gone forever though I swear!! I'll be back at the end of the week with fresh new posts....I leave you for now with these inspiring images by Australian photographer, Jonny Valiant, enjoy!
