Toast-Early Autumn

I love these beautiful photos from Toast's Early Autumn catalogue, all shot on location in various parts of Italy.  Can I live here one day please?  There are so many more inspiring images to be found on their site.  I love the red and white striped wall photo, but the last one with the chandeliers might be my favorite! I wish I knew who's talent was behind the photos!

National Gallery

I was very lucky to have a few hours on my mini break to slip away to the National Gallery.  In the midst of a heatwave and prime tourist time I was able to steal some quiet moments in one of my favorite places in the world:

Domenica More Gordon

Has anyone been watching Man Shops Globe on the Sundance Channel? The show, now in it's second season is better than ever.  I have two favorite episodes so far. The first one being the episode where Keith Johnson travels to Scotland. In the episode he is searching for animal related art to raise money for a no kill animal sanctuary. My absolute favorite thing that he found in his explorations were created by this fantastic artist, Domenica More Gordon.  I just fell in love with Domenica's creations!  She creates these tiny and special felted dogs in her own home. Every creation has so much soul and personality.  She has also created these special little dogs from photos that people have sent her.  Oh, how I would love to have one of Sadie commissioned! I could not find a website for Domenica or any contact information so if anyone would like to share that it would be great!  Here are a few photos of her creations by the talented photographer, Antony Crolla:

Flea Market Finds

A little late...but here are some of my scores from the flea market this week. Some sweet little landscape paintings, some kind of printing block (i think), and a really great little metal cart. All for a real deal!!

All That and the Kitchen Sink

As much as I love a clean, modern, uncluttered space there is something I really love about these photos.  I think it is the warm and cozy feeling of a much loved and used space.  I love all the warm, worn wood, stainless steel , and pottery.  Coming up later today some sneak peaks at my scores from yesterday's flea market!

Architecture Love

Check out this gorgeous Mid-Century Modern home, The Radius House, designed by Daniel J. Liebermann.  Materials used in the construction included salvaged rafters from a 19th century hotel and glass from WWII fighter airplanes!
