Saw this interesting use of found objects while on a bike ride the other day....only in Berkeley! I don't find myself doing this myself personally but it does bring a smile to my face!

Architectural Elements

I have always loved this beautiful home in Montreal, Quebec. I used to walk by it all the time and imagine what it was like in its heyday. I still think it is quite beautiful in its current state and have always loved its architecture and colors. With a little love this place could be a dream. The image beside it is of the Westmount Flower Conservatory also in Montreal. It is a beautiful and tranquil place that I would spend many an hour walking through. It is attached to the historic Westmount Public Library. I will post some images of the library another day. Here are also some pictures of some facades I loved in Montreal as well.

Gardenspiration Tuesday

I took these images in and around the Bay Area. Our garden is currently a patch of dirt and dried up grass. I hope to soon have some green growing out of the ground. We have started with a pink jasmine vine and some beautiful grasses. I'll post some pictures when they have grown a bit.

Swallowtail

here's a pic of a beautiful store in san francisco's russian hill neighborhood, swallowtail is the name. i adore the way she has it set up. if i am ever in the area i always make it a point to try and stop in. unfortunately for me they were closed when i went by. too early me thinks. anyway, i got a picture of the window which i may not have been able to do otherwise. definitely stop in here if you get a chance. lots of found, one of a kind items, and curiosities! do i really need anything from here? no. do i totally covet it? YES!

THIS IS A LITTLE FAMOUS HOUSE ON THE BLOCK OVER FROM US. THERE IS A LITTLE OLDER LADY THAT LIVES HERE AND SHE HAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GARDEN! I CAN'T WAIT TO FIX UP OUR GARDEN, IT IS QUITE A MESS!

SO HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF THE NEW BERKELEY BOWL THAT IS GOING UP ABOUT 4 BLOCKS FROM OUR HOUSE! WE ARE SO EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO WALK THERE AT ANYTIME! IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS GOING TO BE GORGEOUS WITH AN ENORMOUS PRODUCE SECTION.

I JUST LOVE THE TEXTURE AND COLOR OF THIS BUILDING I STUMBLED UPON...

i adore this building in chinatown. the colors are perfect!
